Free TouchDesigner GLSL Fluid Simulation: touchFluid (Kurt Kaminski)
Original title: touchFluid (Fluids in TouchDesigner and GLSL)
Overview
Kurt Kaminski (kamindustries) wrote touchFluid, a lightweight 2D GLSL fluid solver for TouchDesigner that began as a 2016 UCSB MAT master's project and was updated in 2022. The semi-Lagrangian solver, based on Stam's 'Stable Fluids', supports vorticity confinement, temperature, buoyancy and obstacles; touchFluid.toe demonstrates impulses and obstacles (hold 1, 2 or 3 to add velocity, density or temperature at the mouse), while fluid.tox is the core simulation component with velocity, density and color inputs and outputs.
The repository is a free direct download under the MIT license with the shader source provided as separate files, and it runs without special hardware. A compact reference for feedback-based GLSL simulation.
