Overview

These two demo scripts come from Tony Lyons' CG Compositing Series lesson 4.1 on the LightGroup / AOV paradox, saved in Nuke 15.1v4. They demonstrate the incompatibility between a Light Group rebuild and a Material AOV rebuild, then show division-based difference mapping, transferring grades between the two rebuilds, and template layout proposals, using a custom MergeDivide node.

The 164 KB zip (Demo_Problems_Solutions_v01.nk and Template_Proposals_and_Ideas_v01.nk) is a free direct Google Drive download, and the Junkyard light group renders and MergeDivide.nk are offered as separate downloads. It is a useful study piece for compositors building multi-pass CG templates.
