Overview

Hallam's Echo Chamber released this free Houdini 22 scene alongside a tutorial on relighting Gaussian splats with the new nodes in Houdini 22. It compares three methods: the Labs Relight GSplats LOP, and two Copernicus approaches using Rasterize GSplats with a Light COP or with projection, plus a VEX script that corrects the diffuse colorspace of the splats.

The .hiplc file sits in the creator's GitHub repository at hips/gaussian_splats/gsplat_3_relighting_methods.hiplc as a free direct download, while the splat model must be fetched separately from superspl.at. A good study file for anyone bringing Gaussian splats into Karma and Copernicus workflows.
